The birds were brought to the city and were shifted to JCT for treatment and shelter. The staffs of JCT had a very hard time in handling the birds of such huge size. Despite of their calm nature the birds turned aggressive when our volunteer ventured to catch them, the bird ran away at full speed. These birds can run at a speed of 50 km/hr. It was a tough game to play. But finally we managed to rescue 12 emus. However the birds are now kept in our shelter where our staff and doctors are taking good care of them. The birds will remain in our custody until and unless they heal totally from the trauma.
