Knowing our Indian Dog – An initiative taken by Jivdaya Charitable Trust to make people aware of the Indian Breed of Dogs.

On the 1st of December 2013 Jivdaya Charitable Trust organized an event to spread awareness about the ‘Indian dog’ (ownerless /strays) We had put up a knowledge oriented presentation with an aim to promote our Indian breeds. The Doctors as well as other staff members presented their effective presentation covering major topics starting with an introduction on the Indian Breeds of Dog, followed with a general information about the Pariah dog i.e the Strays that we see around us was given, and their Importance as well as their significance was .

The major topic or emphasis was also given on the major Medical Conditions which these breeds usually suffer from and ways to prevent as well as precautions to avoid the same. The Behavioral aspects of dogs were a part heard patiently by all.

The experiences of our Mobile Ambulance Van’s, surgeries performed and discussion on certain important cases brought an Awareness about the kind of amazing work done at Jivdaya Charitable Trust by our experienced and talented Doctors along with our dedicated Staff members.

Animal Cruelty because of the sheer negligence of people was put to light by discussing some major Cruelty cases that have been treated by us. Adoption of Indian Dogs was encouraged so as to give a good life to the stray dogs of our city.

The response that we got from people before, during and after the event was tremendous. Looking forward to give a healthy life and try to eradicate the word “stray” by adopting the innocent, loving and loyal human friend “THE INDIAN BREED of DOGS ”
